Reminder to Vote Nov. 5th 2024

• Term limits can force officials to be more responsive to their constituents. Knowing that they have a limited time in office, officials may be more likely to prioritize the needs and concerns of their constituents rather than their own political ambitions.
   
•  Term limits can help to prevent corruption by limiting the time that officials have in power. Longer terms can increase the opportunities for officials to engage in unethical or illegal behavior. By limiting the time that officials can hold office, term limits can reduce these opportunities.
   
• Term limits can bring new ideas and perspectives to government. By limiting the time that officials can serve, term limits can ensure that there is a constant influx of new blood into government.

Collaboration with Sheriffs

• Regular Meetings: Establish regular meetings between community leaders and sheriffs to discuss public safety concerns and develop joint strategies.
   
• Community Policing Initiatives: Support community policing programs that involve sheriffs working closely with residents to address crime and build trust.
   
• Transparency and Accountability: Advocate for transparency in law enforcement practices and hold sheriffs accountable for their actions.
   

• Community Outreach: Organize regular neighborhood watch meetings to educate residents about crime prevention strategies and foster a sense of community.

• Continue to promote healthy, safe, and nurturing environments for our youth and seniors while providing healthy living resources to our community.
   
• Continue to budget healthy well-being programs for the community (bike rides, lap swimming   and farmers market)
   
• Continue to support after school programs and collaborate with all local school districts.
   
• Continue to promote clean and safe streets through efficient city services.

• Continue to be fiscally responsible and maintain a balance city-wide annual budget.
   
• Continue to support housing developments that create new family home opportunities for our community.
   
• Continue to support sustainable housing and economic development to build a stronger community and quality of life.
   
• Continue to support businesses to provide economic growth and jobs for our residents.

• Maintenance and Upkeep: Allocate resources to ensure that public spaces are well-maintained, clean, and free of hazards.
   
• Lighting and Surveillance: Improve lighting in public areas, especially at night, and consider installing surveillance cameras in high-crime areas.
   
• Community Events: Organize community events and gatherings to promote a sense of belonging and deter crime.
